Adat Grama Panchayat has approximately forty ponds, one lake (kayal), and eleven streams. The major water body that supports the local community for agriculture and fishing activities is Mullur Kayal.

All the streams in the Panchayat contain fresh water. However, nearly eight ponds are affected by polluted water. In addition to the lake, three ponds are currently being used for fishing activities.

These streams and ponds, closely associated with the paddy fields, are environmentally significant water bodies. The paddy fields, ponds, and wetlands of Adat serve as natural groundwater recharge zones and play an important role in maintaining ecological balance.

It is evident that the area of most water bodies has decreased compared to the past. Therefore, the conservation and restoration of these valuable water resources have become an important need of the present time.
