Heritage Centers

Adat Grama Panchayat is home to several places of worship that hold significant heritage value and historical importance as monuments. These include temples of various sizes, Christian churches, and a Muslim mosque.

Among the ancient temples located in the Panchayat are the Muthuvara Mahadeva Temple, Sree Ramanchira Temple, Choorakkottukavu Sree Durga Temple, Puranattukara Mahavishnu Temple, Puzhakkal Dharmasastha Temple, Pazhampuzha Vishnu Temple, Chittilappilly Vedavyasa Peedham Temple, Adat Shiva Vishnu Temple, and Udalakkavu Sree Dharmasastha Temple. Temples such as Udalakkavu Thathampilly Temple and Ambalakkavu Durgadevi Temple are also situated within the Panchayat.

Ancient Christian places of worship including Ambakkad St. Mary’s Church, Puranattukara St. Sebastian’s Church, and Chittilappilly St. Rita’s Church, along with the Amala Muslim Mosque, stand as symbols of religious harmony in Adat.

Vilangan Hills, which once served as a recruitment and observation center for the British Army during earlier times, is now one of the major tourist attractions in the Panchayat.
