👨👩👧 Social Welfare & Community Development
- Lead welfare and development activities for Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and other backward communities.
- Formulate and supervise welfare schemes for women, children, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities.
- Review the implementation of Social Security Pension Schemes and beneficiary services.
- Coordinate and supervise poverty alleviation programmes.
👩 Women, Child & Disability Welfare
- Promote programmes for women's empowerment and gender equality.
- Evaluate child welfare, child protection, and nutrition programmes.
- Support rehabilitation and welfare schemes for persons with disabilities.
- Recommend measures to ensure social justice and equality.
📋 Programme Monitoring & Administration
Review beneficiary selection and implementation of welfare schemes.
Supervise institutions and activities related to social welfare.
Carry out other welfare-related responsibilities entrusted by the Panchayat Committee.
Recommend measures to improve the effective delivery of welfare schemes to the public.

The Welfare Standing Committee plays a vital role in ensuring social security and the well-being of all sections of society within the Panchayat. Its primary objective is to promote the welfare of disadvantaged communities, empower women, protect children and senior citizens, support persons with disabilities, ensure the effective implementation of social security schemes, coordinate poverty alleviation programmes, and formulate and implement initiatives that promote social justice and equality.
